LCH Developments took over a project of 36 townhouses, requiring a complete marketing rebranding. To attract investor interest, comprehensive brand packages were developed. This was made during my first Co-op.
TEAM:
Arran Turner (Supervisor)

HISTORY OF PROJECT:
The 36-townhouse project has a challenging history - three failed development attempts and bankruptcy had left the public perception tarnished. I identified the need to shift the narrative completely.

LCH Development's vision is to create a fresh, family oriented community tailored to the City of Richmond Hill. With a complete. rebrand, my design work focused on leaving the past behind and envisioning a vibrant future for the project Jefferson.
EARLY IDEATION
I kicked off the project by brainstorming names and exploring fonts to match the vision. After sharing my ideas to Arran (my supervisor), he picked his top choices and I refined the ideas further.

To bring the campaign to life, I visited the construction site - hard hat and all, which was a first for me! There, I captured photos and drone footage to use in our marketing materials.

For the logo, I started with hand-drawn sketches, carefully crafting designs with pen and paper. Inspired by the concept of new beginnings, I incorporated an orchid into the design, symbolizing growth and transformation in our branding.

DESIGN - BRAND SKETCHING
In my lo-fi sketches, I did some playing around with the names, logos and fonts.

DESIGN - BRAND DESIGN
Due to a tight deadline, I focused on creating mockups and final drafts directly, minimizing the number of drafts. With valuable guidance from Arran, we made iterative adjustments along the way, enabling us to refine. and polish my presentation efficiently before presenting to the real estate agents.

A good slide deck is essential to effectively communicate your message to higher ups in a company. It's not just about information—it's about selling your idea and design to your fellow colleagues so it has the chance to be used.
